January and February are about fighting the demon named Depression, and conditions are optimum for him at this time of year. (Yes, Depression is clearly a male energy!) He knows that my defenses are weakend; the songbirds are gone, there is no smell of earth, and nothing blooming in the garden. There are no leisurely walks on the beach. There is no warmth from the sun. He knows I am vulnerable, but I know he is there and I dress myself in full armor.
CELEBRATE * LOVE * CREATE
Angelia, You don't like snow? But it's so pretty and white and fluffy,(and can be hard as heck to shovel if it turns to ice on the bottom) LOL. If it gets too much for ya, why not consider moving to my part of the country, Arizona? LOL I know you're tough and can handle the snow. Why not do a journal page about it and let us see? Take care, and have a great and wrtsy week!
ReplyDeletePeace and Love,
Peggy :)
Angelia,
DeleteWould it be possible to do an online class on restoring your creativity? I for one would LOVE to take it, as I cannot attend your classes live in the classroom.
Love and Peace :)
Peggy
That's sweet of you to ask me about doing an online class, Peggy. I have considered it many times on several topics, but I just have too many projects going on to consider it at this time.
DeletePeggy, I tried to reply to your 1st post, but for some reason it won't allow me? Anyway - you're too funny! I think I laughed out loud. I've wanted to visit more of Arizona for some time now. If you some day awaken to someone camped out in your backyard, it will be me! LOL
DeleteYou may be feeling a bit down, but the beautiful colors and art you have here have helped lift my own depression a bit! Yes, I fight it also this time of year, as I think most artists and many other do...hang on...Spring is coming and keep up the beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteHi, Laura! As they say, "misery loves company", and it would appear by the comments I've received that I'm in some very good company indeed! :o) Thank you cheering me on xoxo
DeleteI fight the good fight too. Every artist I know does too. I wonder if it's a requirement :)
ReplyDeleteLOL It just might be a requirement, Kelly. Here's a toast to our victory!!! :D
DeleteLove the color and movement of your pieces here!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteOH MY...!!
ReplyDeleteLove these painting... so visual and full of vibrant colors!! ~xx
ART HEALS my dear one, it certainly does... <3
Keeping up the fight is sometimes the hardest part too! This is definitely something I wish we didn't have in common, but I guess we can be sisters in arms!
ReplyDeleteKeep throwing those glorious colors onto paper, choose some happy music, kiss your sweet husband, eat some beautiful food and spring will be back before you know it!
Hugs and WARM thoughts your way,
xx
