Monday's Musings

January.  Not my favorite month, and I'm afraid that February and I have an even more disagreeable relationship.  One might suspect that a dislike for the snow and cold are the main culprits that make these months so distasteful to me, but not at all.

January and February are about fighting the demon named Depression, and conditions are optimum for him at this time of year. (Yes, Depression is clearly a male energy!)  He knows that my defenses are weakend; the songbirds are gone, there is no smell of earth, and nothing blooming in the garden.  There are no leisurely walks on the beach.  There is no warmth from the sun.  He knows I am vulnerable, but I know he is there and I dress myself in full armor.

I know his tactics. and even though some battles are more difficult than others, I am always certain of my ability to win the war and reach that place where all of creativity lives.  And I have arrived.

  1. Angelia, You don't like snow? But it's so pretty and white and fluffy,(and can be hard as heck to shovel if it turns to ice on the bottom) LOL. If it gets too much for ya, why not consider moving to my part of the country, Arizona? LOL I know you're tough and can handle the snow. Why not do a journal page about it and let us see? Take care, and have a great and wrtsy week!

    Peace and Love,

    Peggy :)

    1. Angelia,

Would it be possible to do an online class on restoring your creativity? I for one would LOVE to take it, as I cannot attend your classes live in the classroom.

      Love and Peace :)

    2. That's sweet of you to ask me about doing an online class, Peggy. I have considered it many times on several topics, but I just have too many projects going on to consider it at this time.

    3. Peggy, I tried to reply to your 1st post, but for some reason it won't allow me? Anyway - you're too funny! I think I laughed out loud. I've wanted to visit more of Arizona for some time now. If you some day awaken to someone camped out in your backyard, it will be me! LOL

    1. Hi, Laura! As they say, "misery loves company", and it would appear by the comments I've received that I'm in some very good company indeed! :o) Thank you cheering me on xoxo

  6. Keeping up the fight is sometimes the hardest part too! This is definitely something I wish we didn't have in common, but I guess we can be sisters in arms!
Keep throwing those glorious colors onto paper, choose some happy music, kiss your sweet husband, eat some beautiful food and spring will be back before you know it!
Hugs and WARM thoughts your way,
    xx
