This past weekend, my "California Daughter" posted a link to a 100 Hue Test on the website X-Rite. The test involves putting 4 rows of color squares in correct hue order. I scored a 7 on the test (0 is perfect - all hues in correct order) My color deficit was in row 2 with the bronzy/green tones. I found it interesting to note that those are colors I seldom use in my artwork.
Are you interested to see how your color vision is? Take This Test to find out! Let me know how you did by leaving your score in "Comments".
Were you surprised at your score? Were you surprised to see where your color deficit is? (Assuming you have a color deficit, of course!) If you have a deficit, how much do you tend to use the hues associated with your deficit?

What a fun test!
ReplyDeleteMy score was 16.
Not too bad for a pastry chef! :o)
DeleteMy score was 26. And, like you, I work with color every day. Hrrrrrmmmmmm. I did find I was getting serious eye fatigue by the end. I have color deficit in the greens and blues.
DeleteI was wondering how much eye fatigue would play into this little test. I took it pretty late at night after a long day of computer and painting. I may give it again early one morning to see if it makes much of a difference.
DeleteAnything having to do with color is fun, right? I like your background, Angelia!
ReplyDeleteYou know it! I went directly to the site as soon as I saw the link. LOL Thanks - glad you like the background :o)
DeleteI enjoyed doing this test and got a "0"...that must be a fail? I always thought I had pretty good color memory. Thanks for sharing this fun test!!
ReplyDeleteHugs Sherrie
Glad you liked the test, Sherrie! "0" is a perfect score. You are most obviously a youngster! ;o)
DeleteI just took this test because a friend of mine posted it on facebook. I got a 4. (I was pretty excited with that number)
ReplyDeleteI was really excited with my 7, too. My "California daughter" who posted the link only scored a 58. I told my son to tell her I'll help her pick out some clothes when we come to visit as she must be near color blind! LOL
DeleteI got a 28 but I'm wondering if doing it a night in the dark using just the computer screen is part of the problem. I might try again during the day.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering the same, Kristin! If you try during the day let me know what your results are. I'm thinking of trying the same experiment :o)
