The Fairies' Tea & Giveaway

I received a message-
It was left outside my door,
"Fairies' Tea" is all it said,
And told me little more.

I arrived at sunset
And I was just in time to see,
Fairies hanging flowers
From the branch of every tree.

They surrounded me with flowers,
On my head they placed a wreath,
And they sprinkled me with fairy dust
From my hair down to my feet.

The tea was quite delicious-
It was spicy, it was sweet.
and they served mine in a floral cup
I could forever keep.

They moved into a clearing
Where the moon was shining bright,
And the fairies did their dance for me
Well into the night.

    1. I adore this teacup. I got it from my adopted grandmother (who was actually a cousin of my dad) She was 93 when she died in the early 90s and the cup had been with her for a very long time. One of these days I'm going to have to try to identify it's manufacturer and origin!

  19. These pages are very unique. I found your web site and have learned quite a few new things when it comes to color and content.
The fairies at night just jump out at you and the moon makes the night come alive. I am going to start watching your tutorials and learn how to achieve different effects from your work. I have never heard of Chinese joss papers and I am going to see if I can hunt some down to use myself.
Thanks for having the give away.

I just got some joss paper on Etsy. It was very reasonable and there were quite a few options of different paper and I got a pack that had many original designs.
